Dustin the Diamond Poirier revealed in an interview on the MMA Hour that his message following the fight was directed at UFC President, Dana White. “It looked like I was talking to Trump, I was talking to Dana. I said, ‘hey, you want me to fight these young motherf***ers, huh? This is what happens’”
The Diamond also took issue with Joe Rogan’s suggestion that he was getting tired during his bout with Benoit Saint-Denis. “Bro, I do not get tired. I have some of the best cardio on this fight sh— we do. Like, I can go 25 minutes hard, cracking the whole time. I can’t believe he said that,” he responded to Rogan’s commentary.
Finally, the Diamond shot back on Instagram at Saint-Denis’ suggestion that he was completely dehydrated during the fight as an excuse for his performance. “Gotta stay hydrated out there” Poirier captioned a photo of his knockout of Saint-Denis. With a performance like his last, Poirier has a right to silence his critics.
