“Thug” Rose Namajunas is back in the win column for the first time in 2 1/2 years after her defeat of Amanda Ribas by decision at UFC Vegas 89 this weekend. This win marked Namajunas’ first win in the Flyweight division.
In her post-fight octagon interview, Namajunas told Paul Felder that she would be like to fight the winner of this coming weekend’s bout of Erin Blanchfield vs. Manon Fiorot – a bit of an odd callout given Namajunas’ 2023 loss to Fiorot. It seems likely that the winner of Blanchfield and Fiorot will be next in line for a Flyweight title fight. Rose also through out the name of another potential opponent, Maycee Barber, which we think may make more sense. Tatiana Suarez could be an interesting matchup upon her return from injury.
